Watch Dogs Legion, the third game in Ubisoft’s open world franchise, has been revealed, and it will be released on March 6, 2020.
As previously rumoured, the game has you playing a full gang of DedSec members, and sees you gathering new recruits drawn from what would traditionally be open world NPCs. Every cinematic in the game will change depending on the characters you choose to play as, from ex-MI5 spies to old ladies.
Creative director Clint Hocking has acknowledged that the game takes place in a post-Brexit London, in which the UK has become a surveillance state.
A leak last week hinted that much of this was the case, but the sheer scale of that idea, and the ambition on show, is striking. The game’s official name was confirmed by Ubisoft on Twitter shortly after the leak.
